Tell Me Lies
Tell Me Lies is another addictive, relatable read by Carola Lovering. The tale seems mostly true, perhaps because it is. A coming-of-age story that centers on protagonist Lucy and her toxic relationship with majorly flawed Stephen, the book is absorbing and well-done. The one negative? The novel reminded me of my one scumbag ex, affectionately known among my friends as "the douche," who hadn't crossed my mind in years. As the book's dedication says, "to anyone who's ever had a Stephen DeMarco--this book is for you."
