Summer Reading

It's been a minute since I posted about my recently read books.

Since this post I've read some good ones. My favorites were The Jetsetters and Writers & Lovers.

The Jetsetters was the perfect novel to read before bed to transition into dreamland. A beach read, but with lots of depth.

Writers & Lovers was brilliant. And as a writer I devoured the narrator's "writer life" depiction, even though it was raw and full of suffering at times. It was an all around beautiful read. I'm sad I finished it. 

I also read A Good Neighborhood (relevant, centering on an interracial relationship), All Adults Here (Reminded me of This Is Where I Leave You), In Five Years (a page-turner but super depressing) and Untamed (a must read but a bit too stimulating for bedtime consumption).
