Show and Tell

The other day Liv deliberated what to bring to school for Show and Tell. She ended up presenting a Christmas snow globe that her boyfriend made for her a couple of years ago. Of her prized possession she wrote, "My friend gave me a snow globe for crismis even thoe I do not celabrate crismis." How sweet?!

I want to do a bit of showing & telling myself.. I don't often blog about things, per se. But why not? Let's do it. During a visit to Chicago the other weekend my girlfriend commented on my newish necklace. She loved it, where did I get it? I had gifted said necklace to myself for my birthday in February, after spotting a similar pendant on my friend/favorite bookseller in town. A local jeweler had made my friend's, and I decided I needed one for myself: a gold disc with a monogram, weaving together my two babies' initials. The letters are in script so my girls can barely make out their "L" and "M," but I assure them they're in there! The necklace is subtle, unique and goes with everything. More than all that, it's meaningful. I love it. Now, time for a new piece with Hubs' name... ;)
