Game On

Our snow laden winter continues, so let's talk about games. Which did you have growing up? I recall playing Candyland, Connect 4, Guess Who?, Monopoly, Scrabble, Sorry, and Trivial Pursuit as a kid. Twister, too, but that's a whole other category. Dominos, Jenga and Mancala. We played card games including Uno. Gin Rummy, Hearts and Poker on family vacations in Acapulco. My brothers played chess. Ouija at tween slumber parties. As a twenty-something I played Cards Against Humanity and Heads Up! with my friends.

And now? As a mom I'm back to playing kid games with my own kids. Disney Princess Candyland and Disney Princess Monopoly Junior this time around. The girls love classics like Guess Who? and Jenga. (Mia's tiny fingers are so nimble!) They (and Hubs and I) also really enjoy a newbie called Zingo. Even after the girls' bedtime, games are a good cozy fireside option. I destroyed Hubs in Jenga recently ;)

Happy playing,
AES
