Lucky in Love (Alternate title: Get Lucky)

Hubs is the best. My best friend from college, turned best partner and dad. I'll write a long, sappy love letter post at some point, but in the meantime I'll just say he's the most hands-on father, doing everything from playing princess dress up to teaching the girls geography. He's the most loving daddy to Livvy and Mia, melting my heart, making me fall more and more in love with him daily. When I see him, that is ;)

He works so hard, and I'm so proud of where he is at in his career. Sometimes that means he's at his office until wee hours of the night. This week I've barely seen him, just at three AM when he crawls into bed, occasionally having to sidestep a kid. But he always makes time for the girls, even if that means singing Frozen via FaceTime. Swoon central.

We don’t celebrate Valentine’s Day, but I’m feeling romantic (and a bit delirious - holding down the fort while also being a working parent is no joke) so here’s a V-day haiku:

A poem for hubs whom
I adore. Get home before
Three. Maybe you’ll score

Smooches, AES
